Ed Freeman Leadership Award

Ed Freeman was the founding board chairman of Leadership Albany and served in that capacity until his death in August 1986. His unswerving commitment to community betterment remains a standard for past, present and future classes.

  
The Board of Directors established the Edward A. Freeman Leadership Award to recognize the civic contributions of program participants who have come to embody the best of Mr. Freeman's ideals.

Alumni can make nominations for this award by filling out this GOOGLE Form.  You will need to state the name of your nominee and describing why you feel the nominee should be honored with the award. Specify items that meet the criteria listed below. Nominees must be a graduate of Leadership Albany.  The most recent list of graduates can be referenced here.

• Sought out opportunities to improve the Albany area community

• Innovative

• Willing to take risks to achieve the goal

• Stepped up to the task, took responsibility for important initiative benefiting the community

• Enthusiastic

• Skillful communicator

• Inspired others to assist in the process of accomplishing the vision

• Set an example for others

• Provided encouragement and recognition to those who worked together to accomplish the goal
