Building a positive buzz around something makes Teresa Smith happy, especially when that something is Albany. As manager of the Albany Convention & Visitors Bureau, it’s her job to inspire people about Albany and help create memorable experiences for people visiting The Good Life City.
“When I’m involved with a project at work I am incredibly enthusiastic about evaluating the results, developing the sales, increasing the ranking, and building the buzz,” says the Albany native. “I am most passionate about marketing and customer service.”
Teresa says she has always appreciated volunteering, serving, and giving within her family, church, and community. “Growing up in church, I learned that following Christ’s example is the best way to demonstrate servant leadership, and I purpose my beliefs and actions to lead by example.”
When not working, she loves volunteering at her son’s sporting events at Monroe Comprehensive High School, being with family and friends, or curled up on the couch with a good book.
How would she like to be remembered?
“As someone who truly made a difference through being a proactive leader, and encouraged others to live a devoted life of passion, purpose, and prayer.”
