Jeffrey Cooley finds his professional passion in economics and financial literacy. His work as a government accountant is rooted in finance and mathematic principles and it’s the basis for his work-life joy. He’s a member of the National Association of Economic Educators, an economic literacy coach for Girls, Inc., a former Command Financial Specialist-training and advising Marines through debt hardships and financial development solutions, and a published author of children’s financial literacy book “Funny Business: The Simple Truth about Money.”
Personally, Cooley says he’s passionate about items related to health, intellect, and Martial Arts, which, incidentally, makes him the most dangerous accountant you’ll ever meet.
When he’s not authoring books, mentoring young people or trying to keep the government’s books in order, Cooley, quite understandably, can be found nestled in bed on an easy weekend, but he’s no slouch. He’s only there if he’s not working or at the gym.
A St. Louis native, Cooley is mildly addicted to school, or likely more accurately, learning. Despite all of his accomplishments, Cooley says he wants to be remembered as someone who was, above all else, selfless.
